Hi Graham, Thank you so much for your note. Is there a particular reason she needs to go to the doctor to discuss this? What age is your wife? Is sex painful? Are there issues of abuse? Do you have any unresolved conflict. Have you watch my TEDx Stanley Park talk on you tube? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVgzOyHVcj4&t=295s It might be helpful to have her watch the talk. Many people have told me it has helped them. Also I do Skype consults if you would like further assistance. All the best, Maureen

Repagyn is for vaginal dryness. Sometimes when the vaginal tissues are dry it may cause some urogenital irritation and the need to pee frequently. Vaginal atrophy which is now called Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause is a condition where the estrogen receptors decrease in the urogenital tract and may lead to urgency, frequency, burning, thin watery discharge, vaginal dryness and painful sex, recurrent urinary tract infections and post-coital bleeding. Speak to your doctor about a low dose localized estrogen therapy (which takes 2-3 months to optimize and is lifelong therapy) in the form of a tablet, cream or ring to be used on opposite days of the Repagyn. Thanks, Maureen

I've been listening to some of your talks. They are excellent. Thanks so much for doing this. I live in NS. When can we purchase a supply of this JoyGel? I am unable to see where on this site or elsewhere. Thanks.

Dear Gail, Thank you for your note. It would be helpful to know your menopausal status. Vaginal dryness is the hallmark symptom of Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM) which is when estrogen decreases in the urogenital tract and a woman may experience vaginal dryness, itching, frequency, urgency and recurrent urinary tract infections as well as leakage of urine, post-coital bleeding and/or thin watery discharge. Ask your doctor about low dose localized estrogen therapy in the form of a tablet, cream or a ring. Repagyn is for vaginal dryness and/or itching only. Make sure you are drinking enough water based fluids so that your urine is clear. Urge suppression may help as well. Go to the CNCA.ca website for information on urge suppression. If your doctor prescribes a low dose localized estrogen therapy keep in mind it takes 2-3 months to optimize and it is life long therapy. Hope that helps.

I've had frequent badder infections through out the years.
I'M ON MY SECOND DAY OF REPAGYN WHICH I FIND VERY OILY. WILL IT HELP WITH THE FREQUENT NEED TO PEE? I'M WAITING FOR AN APPOINTMENT WITH MY FAMILY DOCTOR.THE LAST TIME I SAW HER SHE THOUGHT I HAD A YEAST INFECTION BECAUSE I JUST FINISHED TREATMENT FOR A BLADDER INFECTION WITH ANTIBIOTICS BUT THE TEST WAS NEGATIVE. I AM SO UPSET BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE MY LIFE REVOLVES AROUND WHEN I HAVE TO PEE. I HAVEN'T HAD SEX FOR TWO MONTHS AND I MISS IT. SEX WAS A LITTLE PAINFUL SO A LUBRICANT WAS ALWAYS USED. BUT NOW WITH THE ITCHING AND THE FREQUENT NEED TO PEE AND THINKING THAT I'M GOING TO GET ANOTHER BLADDER INFECTION I'VE BEEN AVOIDING SEX. PLEASE HELP.
